A view of the world from the capital of the world.
The issuing of the i.o.u.’s would reflect the state’s lack of cash flow and its legislature’s inability to agree on a way to close a roughly $24 billion budget gap, as tax revenues have continued to fall in the state. On Wednesday, as Mr. Chiang made his announcement, legislators continued to debate ways to close the gap in preparing for a vote on a budget presented by Democrats that was all but certain to fail on the floor.
In New York things are not this bad. money wise, but the state senate seems more like Royal Rumble.I asked for 56 stars and initially adored them. But when my father saw them, he was furious. So I said I fell asleep and that the tattooist had made a mistake,Ms Vlaeminck told Dutch TV. But what about the offer from the tattoo artist to pay for half of the removal surgery? This is what he had to say:
Kimberley is unhappy and it is not my wish to have an unsatisfied client,
It can never be a totally safe knife, but the idea is you can't inflict a fatal wound. Nobody could just grab one out of the kitchen drawer and kill someone. The knife is expected to sell for about £40-50 (about 65-83 US).
Introducing the Disney Netpal. A new take on Netbook computing or more like corporate advertising. The netbook will be available in summer for about $350 and you can pick it up at Toys ‘R’ Us and The Disney Store. I know at least one person who will give his right arm to get this. Here are the specs on it:
Trooper Daniel Martin pulled over an ambulance because it did not get out of his way fast enough for him to respond to a call. Officer Martin also claims that the driver of the ambulance made an obscene gesture at him and that was “the straw that broke the camel’s back”. Unfortunately for Officer Martin the ambulance was itself responding to a call and it had a patient inside…OOPS!!!
While the “exchange” between the cops and paramedics was taking place the patient was waiting inside. Finally, the patient was treated and she suffered no harm, although the family is concerned about the incident.
According to the Associated Press:
The situation escalates, with White repeatedly telling Martin he has a patient that he wants to take to the hospital, and Martin telling him to get back in the ambulance. They soon begin scuffling on the side of the road as Martin attempts to arrest White, at one point grabbing him by the throat, video shows.
Mr White’s attorney, one of the paramedics, said:
If the guy was bruised, it didn’t make any difference, he ought not to stop ambulance drivers for hurting his feelings.
Yes I know, Green seems to be the theme for today! Here is a bag that comes with it’s own solar panel so that you can charge your lil’ electronic equipment. PROS: It’s power source is renewable. CONS: It come with a “cigarette lighter” type of plug so you have to bring your car plug to charge, say, your phone. It retails for about $250…ouch!!!
Now get this…if you used just 0.3% of the Saharan Desert for generating solar energy, you would produce enough electricity to provide the entire European continent with clean/renewable energy. Reason enough for 20 large German companies to meet and discuss plans for creating a massive solar energy generating project. The meeting and the project are being advertised as the Desertec Foundation. The foundation says they can built a facility that will generate 100 GW of solar power total output. The foundation also says that generating facilities might be built throughout Northern Africa. The meeting will be held next month (July of 2009).
