A Nissan 370Z’ evil twin the NISMO 370Z now available

nismo_370z_jalopniktopshot When the first Z broke into the scene back in the 70s it made such an impression on the industry that today it’s considered to be one of only a handful of imports to reach American Classic status. The modern version of this revered vehicle may never see the status of it’s predecessor but I will be making noise around the highways and byways of your neck of the woods. The data on the car is as follows:
  • Price: $39,130
  • Engine: V6
  • Power: 350 HP @ 7,400 RPM
  • Torque: 276 lb-ft @ 5,200 RPM

California to start paying creditors with I.O.U’s

iouOnce again it’s on and it’s the usual suspect. Back in the 90s Cali’ tried to issue “I.O.U’s” to pay 100,000 state workers but was forced by the courts to pay them and then some. According to NYTimes.com…

The issuing of the i.o.u.’s would reflect the state’s lack of cash flow and its legislature’s inability to agree on a way to close a roughly $24 billion budget gap, as tax revenues have continued to fall in the state. On Wednesday, as Mr. Chiang made his announcement, legislators continued to debate ways to close the gap in preparing for a vote on a budget presented by Democrats that was all but certain to fail on the floor.

In New York things are not this bad. money wise, but the state senate seems more like Royal Rumble.

Guess who came clean?……56-stars-tattooed-on-my-face girl.

startatttttt7 She’s back again and this time she is confessing that she lied!
I asked for 56 stars and initially adored them. But when my father saw them, he was furious. So I said I fell asleep and that the tattooist had made a mistake,
Ms Vlaeminck told Dutch TV. But what about the offer from the tattoo artist to pay for half of the removal surgery? This is what he had to say:
Kimberley is unhappy and it is not my wish to have an unsatisfied client,

Anti-stab knife…the solution to spousal disputes..sort of!

stab-proof-knife Mr. Cornock from Swindom, UK has come up with a new twist in knife design. According to him his new design makes it almost impossible to stab someone to death. He also claims that it will reduce accidents considerably.
It can never be a totally safe knife, but the idea is you can't inflict a fatal wound. Nobody could just grab one out of the kitchen drawer and kill someone.
The knife is expected to sell for about £40-50 (about 65-83 US).

State Trooper pulled over an ambulance

trooper-stops-ambulance Trooper Daniel Martin pulled over an ambulance because it did not get out of his way fast enough for him to respond to a call. Officer Martin also claims that the driver of the ambulance made an obscene gesture at him and that was “the straw that broke the camel’s back”. Unfortunately for Officer Martin the ambulance was itself responding to a call and it had a patient inside…OOPS!!!

While the “exchange” between the cops and paramedics was taking place the patient was waiting inside. Finally, the patient was treated and she suffered no harm, although the family is concerned about the incident.

According to the Associated Press:

The situation escalates, with White repeatedly telling Martin he has a patient that he wants to take to the hospital, and Martin telling him to get back in the ambulance. They soon begin scuffling on the side of the road as Martin attempts to arrest White, at one point grabbing him by the throat, video shows.

Mr White’s attorney, one of the paramedics, said:

If the guy was bruised, it didn’t make any difference, he ought not to stop ambulance drivers for hurting his feelings.

What kind of psycho would paint a house like this?

Now here is one interesting piece of "art". I don't know what the purpose of it is but what I do know is that it's intriguing. The location of this house is West Broad Street, between Maple Avenue & Clove Avenue in Haverstraw, NY. Ain't it a beau?

World’s largest solar farm planned for Saharan Desert

saharaforest1 Now get this…if you used just 0.3% of the Saharan Desert for generating solar energy, you would produce enough electricity to provide the entire European continent with clean/renewable energy. Reason enough for 20 large German companies to meet and discuss plans for creating a massive solar energy generating project. The meeting and the project are being advertised as the Desertec Foundation. The foundation says they can built a facility that will generate 100 GW of solar power total output. The foundation also says that generating facilities might be built throughout Northern Africa. The meeting will be held next month (July of 2009).
