App Review: iFitness

0

Let’s start by saying that this program is awesome. It has a large library of exercises which can be accessed thru a category view or a chart displaying a human figure with pins pointing to specific muscle groups. It even includes training videos for most of the exercises included in the library. One thing I found to be annoying was the multiple profile feature. I created a profile for myself and one for my wife. I noticed that anytime I tried to keep track of her exercises I was editing/deleting/modifying the ones on my profile…crap!!! Otherwise, this lil’ program is a must buy for anyone who likes to workout and keep track of their progress/workouts.

Let’s clear something up here OK!!! I been counting my calorie intake, for iPhone app testing purposes, using the application Lose It!. Is pretty cool and fairly accurate. You can set goals if you…say…wanna lose X amount of pounds. It even takes into account Proteins (not for all foods), Fat, Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Exercise.

Funny story

So this past Friday I had to drive a minivan for one of my friends. Her husband came up to me and said "Hey, listen...the dashboard lights don't work" So I said to myself "Ok, big stinkin' deal...it doesn't get dark around here 'til 9pm anyway". Wellllllll....He only told me half the truth. The speedometer did not work either...not to mention the gas gauge. So I pop-out my iPhone and downloaded this application: Speed-O-Meter.

YES, OK PEOPLE, I DID SPEED...a lil'...but the speed on the AutoBahn...I mean the Garden State Parkway is 65mph ;-)

eBay has done a pretty good job with this app. What’s amazing about it is how it merges everything in your myebay page into one little windows with multiple views. The application feels solid as well as not intimidating to even an inexperience user. The only thing I did not see in it was a way to pay for an item after you win the bid. I guess some things are better done from your PC.

The point of this app is to help you find a place to eat nearby. It uses user ratings to let you know how good these places are. I’m sorry but Zagat and all of these “rating” place are great but I wanna hear comments from “Joe Blow down the block” and from “the midnight-culinary crusaders”. As far as usage what you do is come up to a screen that will try to locate you based on your GPS location and it will give you the choices based on your town and food types available and also the price (the more $ symbols you see the pricier). Don’t forget to contribute to the community. Wanna be my friend? (see pictures)
